Page 6 08/27/12

I love visual novels. I'm working on a system for them in GM8 for Skyborn. My mom recently called me to ask what they were, and the difference between them and, say, a graphic novel. I came up with this. Visual Novels include events in the text, but descriptions of static surroundings are left to the images. Graphic Novels depict actions visually as well. So you can much "easierly" remove the art from a VN than a GN. You'd have a really surreal-sounding work, I figure, with minimal scenery description to give you a fix on your surroundings, but it'd work. Try the same thing with a graphic novel. I dare you. You'd have the counterpart inverse of David Lynch's Eraserhead. But it'd be fun.

Now on to the comic. I ask those who might be offended at some lines in this page be not so, as it will become clear in time. Still, I ask for critique.

Transcript:
Mason: You know, it's a sick game He has you playing.
A touch being that horrifying, and you needing to calm her spirit.
Laus: My touch? That's what did it? And calm her... what?
Mason: Worse, if you weren't told. It's never helpful when you aren't told. He knows best, I suppose, but it honestly causes more problems than we need.
See her eye? It's a dead eye. Nothing for her anymore. Time to take her home, Freshman.
